The selection of a suitable ultrasonic processor and sonotrode depends on many parameters such as the wire/profile diameter, the desired cleaning speed, the kind of pollution and the intended cleaning results and quality requirements, which in turn are determined by the subsequent production process or by the kind of application of the cleaned material.
Depending on the above mentioned parameters, ultrasonic modules from 250 to 4000 watts are available for the wire cleaning. The designation of the ultrasonic processor contains the characteristic power of the respective device (e.g. UIP1000D stands for 1000 watts ultrasonic power). The power of the processor can be controlled between 50% and 100% by means of the amplitude and thus, can be adapted to the wire speed.
